When I was younger, my Dad used to take me and my brother over to the giant shopping centre in Milton Keynes. While they went off to the football card tradings tall, I used to spend my time in TK Maxx, rummaging through rails and wishing I actually had some money to buy anything.
So last night was quite reminiscent of childhood for me! I went to the pre-opening of the super-cure new Putney store, which has a boutiquey feel. It's just girls stuff, which is nice!
Shelly Fellows, the TK Maxx Womens outerwear buyer talked us through some of the key trends for next season. (you know them all already though, right? Lace, pastels, nautical... a bit of everything!) Afterwards I talked to Shelly for a while and now I'm actually seriously jealous of her job! I didn't realise that she gets to jet around everywhere, buying every week. Amazing, seriously.
And everyone loved my giant bow. :)
I took loads of my own pictures but I'm having real trouble getting my new camera to download pictures to my laptop. Will put up some of mine tomorrow, though.
Do wish I had realised that my eyeliner was everywhere, though. Didn't notice til I got on the train to leave... whoops. Slick, Amy. Real slick.
The store opens this Saturday and will be playing host to a pair of Powder Puff Girls to treat shoppers shoppers to beauty makeovers and manicures. And there'll be champagne and canapes, of course! I'm going to try and get down there soon because I fell in love with a gorgeous studed clutch. Haha... these events are DANGEROUS.
